Bookings are made and accepted only on the following conditions. Personal injury: 5 Far Horizons accepts no responsibility for personal injury to Guests, or loss of or damage to their property, or for other matters over which 5 Far Horizons has no control. Holiday tenancy: This agreement is made on the basis that 5 Far Horizons is to be occupied by the Tenant for a holiday as mentioned in the Housing Act 1988 Schedule 1 paragraph 9 and the Tenant acknowledges that the tenancy granted by this agreement is not an assured tenancy and that no statutory periodic tenancy will arise when it ends. Over 18: Bookings cannot be accepted from anyone under 18 years old. Deposit: A deposit of £150 must accompany the booking form. Please make any cheques payable to Mrs E. Holland. Deposits are non-returnable unless 5 Far Horizons is unable to accept the booking and as specified below. Balance of payment: Once a booking is confirmed by 5 Far Horizons, the Guest is responsible for the balance of the cost of the holiday together with a refundable damage bond of £200. This shall be paid 4 weeks before arrival. Non-payment of balance: 5 Far Horizons reserves the right to relet any holiday where the balance outstanding is more than 2 weeks in arrears. However if we unable to relet the holiday you will remain liable for the outstanding balance. Accommodation becoming unavailable: In the event of the accommodation becoming unavailable (e.g. through fire or illness), 5 Far Horizons will endeavour to provide suitable alternative accommodation or will refund all monies paid or a proportion in the case of curtailment. Insurance: Each guest will be responsible to take out adequate holiday and cancellation insurance. Cancellations: In the event of cancellations not covered by insurance, 5 Far Horizons will endeavour to relet the accommodation, and if successful the balance of the cost will not be due, or if already paid, will be refunded. The deposit is retained. Damage and breakages: The holidaymaker shall keep the holiday accommodation and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the holiday accommodation in the same state of repair as at the commencement of the holiday, and shall leave the holiday accommodation in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found. The Holidaymaker must report and pay to the Owner the cost of any damage or breakages made during their holiday occupancy. Breaking the terms and conditions: The Holidaymakers rights to occupy the property may be forfeited without compensation if: (a) More people or pets than specified on the Booking Form and/or the number the property holds, attempt to take up occupation. (b) Overnight guests are entertained without the Owners express permission. (c) Any activity is undertaken which may cause unreasonable damage, noise or disturbance. Complaints: In the event of there being cause for complaint concerning a property, the matter should be taken up with the owner at once. It is important that this is done whilst you are still at the property so that an on-the-spot investigation can be made if necessary and remedial action taken if required. In no circumstances will compensation be made for complaints raised after the tenancy has ended when the Tenant has denied the Owner the opportunity of investigating the complaint and endeavouring to put matters right during the tenancy. Access by the owner: The Property Owner or his representative shall be allowed access to the holiday accommodation at any reasonable time during any holiday occupancy. Booking procedure: Bookings are Saturday to Saturday. Outside the main holiday periods and during the winter mid-week or short breaks can usually be arranged. It is not necessary for you to fill all the beds in the property, the price is for the Holiday Home not per person. When we receive your booking form and deposit, we will send you a confirmation of booking and details of the balance due. Provisional bookings will only be held for 5 days pending receipt of your deposit. The balance of the cost should reach us 4 weeks before you start your holiday. Late bookings: Bookings made less than 6 weeks before the starting date of the holiday should be accompanied by the full payment. Please allow 14 days from the time you send the booking to the time you receive our confirmation. Arriving & Departing. In order that your accommodation can be properly prepared, it is important that you do not arrive before 2.00pm and that you depart by 10.00am. Smoking. 5 Far Horizons operates a no smoking policy. |
